Abstract： Objective： To observe the clinical effect of Qishen Shengjin Prescription preventing and treating adverse reactions caused by deep hyperthermia. Methods： A total of 54 cases of patients with malignant tumors with dual deficiency of qi and yin syndrome were randomly divided into two groups，with 27 cases in each group. The control group was simply treated with deep hyperthermia，and the observation group was given oral administration of Qishen Shengjin Prescription combined with deep hyperthermia. Both groups were treated for 3 weeks. Before treatment and after 3 weeks of treatment， the scores of Karnofsky Performance Score(KPS) and traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) syndromes were measured. The blood platelet count(BPC) was detected. The curative effects in improving functional status and TCM syndromes in the two groups were compared. Results：After three-week treatment，the curative effects in improving functional status and TCM syndromes in the observation group were better than those in the control group，differences being significant(P＜0.05，P＜0.01). The BPC level in the observation group was increased when compared with that before treatment， and higher than that in the control group after treatment，differences being significant(P＜0.01). Conclusion：Qishen Shengjin Prescription for preventing and treating the adverse reactions in the process of deep hyperthermia enables patients to actively cooperate in completing the course of deep hyperthermia，so as to effectively improve the symptoms and quality of life.
