Clinical Study on Qianlie Shutong Capsules Combined with Tamsulosin Hydrochloride Sustained-Release Capsules for Patients After Surgery for Prostatic Hyperplasia
Abstract: Objective: To observe the clinical effect of Qianlie Shutong Capsules combined with Tamsulosin Hydrochloride Sustained-Release Capsules for patients with benign prostatic hyperplasia(BPH) after transurethral plasma resection of prostate(TURP). Methods:A total of 98 cases of patients with dampheat obstruction syndrome after TURP for BPH were selected and divided into the treatment group and the control group according to the random number table method , with 50 and 48 cases in each group respectively. Both groups were treated with TURP. After surgery, the control group was treated with Tamsulosin Hydrochloride Sustained-Release Capsules, and the treatment group was treated with Qianlie Shutong Capsules combined with Tamsulosin Hydrochloride Sustained- Release Capsules. Both groups were treated for one month. Before treatment and after one-month treatment, the International Prostate Symptom score(IPSS) were evaluated; the levels of testosterone(T) and estradiol(E2) in serum were detected; B- ultrasound was used to examine the size of prostate, calculate prostate volume(PV), and measure the bladder residual urine volume(RV) and maximum urinary flow(Qmax). The clinical effects in the two groups were compared. Results:After treatment, the total effective rate in the treatment group was higher than that in the control group(P<0.05). IPSS scores in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment(P<0.05), and IPSS score in the treatment group was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05). There was no significant difference being found in the comparison of serum T levels before and after treatment in the two groups(P>0.05), and serum E2 levels in the two groups were increased when compared with those before treatment(P<0.05). The E2 level in the treatment group was higher than that in the control group(P<0.05). Compared with those before treatment, values of PV and RV in the two groups were decreased, and Qmax values were increased, differences being significant(P<0.05). The values of PV and RV in the treatment group were lower than those in the control group, and the Qmax value was higher than that in the control group, differences being significant(P< 0.05). Conclusion: The application of Qianlie Shutong Capsules combined with Tamsulosin Hydrochloride Sustained- Release Capsules for BPH patients with damp- heat obstruction syndrome after TURP can enhance the clinical effect, regulate the levels of sex hormones, and effectively improve the clinical symptoms.
