Abstract：Objective：To observe the clinical effect of Guben Kechuan Pills combined with Seretide for bronchial asthma(BA). Methods：A total of 60 cases of patients with BA were divided into the control group and the study group according to the random number table method， with 30 cases in each group. The control group was treated with Seretide，and the study group was additionally treated with Guben Kechuan Pills based on the treatment of the control group. The changes in lung function indexes including forced vital capacity(VC)，forced expiratory volume in the first second(FEV1) and percentage of forced expiratory volume in the first second to forced vital capacity(FEV1%) and the frequency of asthma attacks as well as the clinical effects in the two groups were observed. Results：The total effective rate was 96.67% in the study group and 76.67% in the control group，the difference between the two groups being significant(P＜0.05). Before treatment， there was no significant difference being found in the comparison of FVC， FEV1 and FEV1% between the two groups(P＞0.05). After treatment， the above lung function indexes in the two groups were increased when compared with those before treatment(P＜0.05)； the indexes in the study group were higher than those in the control group(P＜0.05). Before treatment，there was no significant difference being found in the comparison of the frequency of asthma attacks between the two groups(P＞0.05). After treatment， the frequency of asthma attacks in the two groups was decreased when compared with that before treatment(P＜0.05)， and the frequency of asthma attacks in the study was lower than that in the control group(P＜0.05). Conclusion： Guben Kechuan Pills combined with Seretide for BA can significantly enhance clinical effect，improve lung function and alleviate asthma attacks.
