Abstract： Objective： To observe the clinical effect of Wenjing Decoction combined with Fleroxacin Tablets for chronic pelvic inflammatory disease(CPID) with cold-damp congealing and stagnation syndrome. Methods：A total of 80 cases of CPID patients with cold-damp congealing and stagnation syndrome were selected and divided into the western medicine group and the combination group according to the random number table method， with 40 cases in each group. The western medicine group was treated with Fleroxacin Tablets， and the combination group was treated with Wenjing Decoction combined with Fleroxacin Tablets. Both groups were treated for one month. The traditional Chinese medicine syndrome scores， levels of inflammatory indicators in serum and the clinical effects in the two groups were compared. Results： After treatment， the scores of cold and pain in lower abdomen， soreness and swelling in lumbosacral spine and increasing leukorrhea in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment，and the scores of cold and pain in lower abdomen，soreness and swelling in lumbosacral spine， and increasing leukorrhea in the combination group were lower than those in the western medicine group(P＜0.05). After treatment， the levels of C- reactive protein(CRP)， interleukin- 6 (IL- 6) and tumor necrosis factor- α(TNF- α) in serum in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment(P＜0.05)，and the levels of CRP，IL-6 and TNF-α in serum in the combination group were lower than those in the western medicine group(P＜0.05). The total effective rate was 90.00% in the combination group，higher than that of 72.50% in the western medicine group(P＜0.05). Conclusion： Wenjing Decoction combined with Fleroxacin Tablets can significantly relieve clinical symptoms in CPID patients with cold-damp congealing and stagnation syndrome，and inhibit inflammatory responses.
