Abstract：Objective：To observe the clinical effect of the therapy of abdominal massage with Maziren Powder combined with cisapride on functional constipation of accumulated heat in stomach and intestines type. Methods： A total of 88 patients with functional constipation of accumulated heat in stomach and intestines type were selected and divided into the control group and the treatment group according to the random number table method，with 44 cases in each group. The control group was treated with cisapride， and the treatment group was additionally treated with abdominal massage with Maziren Powder based on the treatment of the control group. Before and after treatment，the main symptom scores of constipation， scores of 36- Item Short Form Health Survey(SF- 36) and levels of serum motilin(MTL) and gastrin(GAS) were compared between the two groups. The clinical effects， recurrence rates and incidence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results： The total effective rate was 90.91% in the treatment group，higher than that of 75.00% in the control group(P＜0.05)；the recurrence rate was 5.00% in the treatment group，lower than that of 27.27% in the control group(P＜0.05). After treatment，the main symptom scores of constipation in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment(P＜0.05)，and the above scores in the treatment group were lower than those in the control group (P＜0.05). After treatment，the scores of SF-36 and levels of serum MTL and GAS in the two groups were increased when compared with those before treatment(P＜0.05)，and the above indexes in the treatment group were higher than those in the control group(P＜0.05). There was no significant difference being found in the comparison of incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P＞0.05). Conclusion： The therapy of abdominal massage with Maziren Powder made cream combined with cisapride has an obvious curative effect on functional constipation of accumulated heat in stomach and intestines type，which can effectively relieve the constipation-related symptoms of patients，improve the activity function of stomach and intestines，and enhance the quality of life.
