Abstract：Objective：To observe the clinical effect of the therapy of thumbtack needle combined with Guizhi Fuling Pills for hyperplasia of mammary glands. Methods：A total of 102 patients with hyperplasia of mammary glands were selected divided into the control group and the study group according to the random number table method， with 51 cases in each group. In the study group， eight cases were dropped out， and 43 cases were included in the study finally. The control group was treated with Guizhi Fuling Pills， and the study group was additionally treated with thumbtack needle based on the treatment of the control group. Both groups were treated for three menstrual cycles. The clinical effects and size of tumor mass，and scores of breast pain hardness of tumor mass，Self- Rating Anxiety Scale(SAS)，Self- Rating Depression Scale(SDS) and Generic Quality of Life Inventory(GQOLI) before and after treatment were compared between the two groups. Results： The total effective rate was 97.67% in the study group， higher than that of 82.35% in the control group(P＜0.05). After treatment， the scores of breast pain， hardness of tumor mass in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment (P＜0.05)，and the diameters of tumor mass were shorter(P＜0.05)；the scores of breast pain，hardness of tumor mass in the study group were lower than those in the control group(P＜0.05)，and the diameter of tumor mass in the study group was shorter than that in the control group(P＜0.05). After treatment， the scores of SAS and SDS in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment(P＜ 0.05)，and the above two scores in the study group were lower than those in the control group(P＜0.05)； each score and total score of GQOLI in the two groups were increased when compared with those before treatment(P＜0.05)，and the above scores in the study group were higher than those in the control group (P＜0.05). Conclusion：The therapy of thumbtack needle combined with Guizhi Fuling Pills for hyperplasia of mammary glands can effectively relieve the breast pain and negative emotion of patients，reduce the tumor mass of breast，and enhance the quality of life.
