Effect of Acupuncture Combined with Language Rehabilitation Training on Language Function and Hemorheological Indexes in Patients with Aphasia After Stroke
Abstract: Objective: To observe the effect of acupuncture combined with language rehabilitation training on language function and hemorheological indexes in patients with aphasia after stroke. Methods:A total of 112 cases of patients with aphasia after stroke were selected as the study objectives and divided into the control group and the study group according to the random number table method, with 56 cases in each group. Both groups were given routine treatment, the control group was given language rehabilitation training, and the study group was additionally treated with acupuncture based on the treatment of the control group. Both groups were continuously treated for 30 days. Aphasia Battery of Chinese(ABC) was used to evaluate the changes in language function of patients; National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) was applied to assess the severity of neurological deficits;hemorheological indexes and levels of calcitonin gene- related peptide(CGRP) and endothelin(ET) in serum in the two groups before and after treatment were detected; clinical effects in the two groups were evaluated. Results: The total effective rate was 91.07% in the study group, higher than that of 69.64% in the control group(P<0.05). After treatment, scores of oral expression, repetition, comprehension, and naming in the two groups were increased when compared with those before treatment(P<0.05),and each score in the study group was higher than that in the control group(P<0.05). After treatment, NIHSS scores in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment(P<0.05), and the score in the study group was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05). After treatment, erythrocyte aggregation indexes, whole blood viscosity and erythrocyte sedimentation rate- K index in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment(P<0.05),and each index in the study group was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05). After treatment, levels of CGRP in serum in the two groups were increased when compared with those before treatment, and levels of ET in serum were decreased(P<0.05); the level of CGRP in serum in the study group was higher than that in the control group, and the level of ET was lower(P<0.05). Conclusion: Acupuncture combined with language rehabilitation training can enhance the clinical effects on patients with aphasia after stroke and is conductive to the recovery of their language function and the improvement of hemorheological indexes and neurological function.
