Abstract：Objective：To observe the effect of Jiuwei Zhenxin Granules on patients with anxiety and/or depression after percutaneous coronary intervention(PCI). Methods： A total of 106 patients with postoperative anxiety and/or depression were divided into the control group and the treatment group according to the random number table method. The control group was given psychological intervention， and the treatment group was additionally treated with Jiuwei Zhenxin Granules based on the psychological intervention. The changes of Generalized Anxiety Disorder- 7(GAD- 7)， Patient Health Questionnaire- 9 (PHQ- 9) and traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) syndrome scores before and after treatment were compared between the two groups. The changes of low-density lipoprotein(LDL)，alanine aminotransferase (ALT)， aspartate aminotransferase(AST)， blood urea nitrogen(BUN)， serum creatinine(SCr)， white blood cell count(WBC) and fasting blood glucose(FBG) before and after treatment were compared between the two groups，and the incidence of adverse reactions was observed. Results：After eight weeks and 12 weeks of treatment，the scores of GAD- 7 and PHQ- 9 in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment， differences being significant(P＜0.05)， and after eight weeks and 12 weeks of treatment，there was no significant difference between the two groups(P＞0.05). After treatment，there was no significant difference in the indexes between the two groups(P ＞ 0.05). After eight weeks and 12 weeks of treatment，the total score of TCM syndromes and the scores of chest pain，palpitations and shortness of breath in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment，and the total score and each score of TCM syndromes in the treatment group were lower than those in the control group at the same time， differences being significant(P＜0.05). After 12 weeks of treatment， no obvious adverse reactions were observed in the two groups. Conclusion： Jiuwei Zhenxin Granules has a certain effect on patients with anxiety and depression，which can alleviate clinical symptoms and has high medication safety.
