Abstract： Objective： To observe the clinical effect of Xiao'er Xiaoshi Granules combined with Bifidobacterium Quadruple Viable Tablets for infantile anorexia. Methods： A total of 88 cases of patients with infantile anorexia were randomly divided into the observation group and the control group ， with 44 cases in each group. The control group was treated with Bifidobacterium Quadruple Viable Tablets and the observation group was treated with Xiao'er Xiaoshi Granules combined with Bifidobacterium Quadruple Viable Tablets. The levels of gastrointestinal hormones in serum including gastrin(GAS)， motilin(MTL)， somatostatin(SS) and vasoactive intestinal peptide(VIP) before and after treatment as well as the clinical effects in the two groups were compared. During treatment，the incidence of adverse reactions of drugs in the two groups were recorded. Results：The total effective rate was 97.73% in the observation group and 84.09% in the control group， the difference being significant(P＜0.05). Before treatment， there was no significant difference being found in the comparison of levels of GAS，MTL，SS and VIP between the two groups(P＞0.05). After treatment，the levels of GAS and MTL in the two groups were significantly increased when compared with those before treatment，and the levels of SS and VIP were significantly decreased； the improvement of the above indexes in the observation group was more significant than that in the control group(P＜0.05). The incidence of adverse reactions was 4.55% in the observation group and 2.27% in the control group，there being no significance in the difference(P＞0.05). Conclusion：Xiao'er Xiaoshi Granules combined with Bifidobacterium Quadruple Viable Tablets has a significant curative effect in treating infantile anorexia， which can effectively improve levels of Gastrointestinal hormones without increasing adverse reactions of drugs.
