Abstract：Objective：To observe the clinical effect of Yiqi Huoxue Prescription combined with western medicine for chronic atrophic gastritis(CAG) with qi deficiency and blood stasis syndrome. Methods：A total of 80 cases of CAG patients with qi deficiency and blood stasis syndrome were divided into the control group and the treatment group according to the random number table method， with 40 cases in each group. The control group was treated with western medicine， and the treatment group was additionally treated with Yiqi Huoxue Prescription based on the treatment of the control group. Both groups were treated for 14 days. The clinical effects， disappearance time of symptoms， traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) syndrome scores and levels of inflammatory factors in serum were compared between the two groups. Results： The total effective rate was 97.50% in the treatment group， higher than that of 82.50% in the control group(P＜0.05). After treatment，TCM syndrome scores in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment(P＜0.05)，and the TCM syndrome score in the treatment group was lower than that in the control group(P＜0.05). The disappearance time of gastric fullness，gastric pain and hypodynamia in the treatment group was shorter than that in the control group(P＜0.05). After treatment， the levels of interleukin- 6(IL- 6) and tumor necrosis factor- α(TNF- α) in serum in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment(P＜0.05)， and the levels of IL- 6 and TNF- α in serum in the treatment group were lower than those in the control group(P＜0.05). Conclusion： Yiqi Huoxue Prescription combined with western medicine has a definite curative effect in treating CAG with qi deficiency and blood stasis syndrome，which can effectively improve the clinical symptoms of patients and relieve the inflammatory responses in the body.
