Abstract: Objective: To observe the clinical effect of floating needle therapy for scapulohumeral periarthritis. Methods:A total of 80 cases of patients with scapulohumeral periarthritis were selected and divided into the treatment group and the control group according to the random number table method, with 40 cases in each group. During treatment, there were case dropping out. Finally, there were 39 cases in the treatment group and 37 cases in the control group. The treatment group was treated with floating needle, and the control group was treated with electroacupuncture. The clinical effects in the two groups were compared. Before and after treatment, the changes in scores of Visual Analogue Scale(VAS) and Constant-Murley scale in the two groups were compared. Results:The total effective rate of clinical effect was 92.31% in the treatment group and 54.05% in the control group, the difference being significant(P< 0.05). After treatment, the VAS scores in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment(P<0.05), and the VAS score in the treatment group was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05). After treatment, each score in Constant- Murley scale in the two groups was increased when compared with that before treatment(P<0.05), and each score in Constant- Murley scale in the treatment group was higher than that in the control group(P<0.05). Conclusion: Floating needle therapy has a significant effect on the treatment of scapulohumeral periarthritis, which can relieve the pain of shoulder joint and expand the range of motion of shoulder joint.
