Abstract: This paper introduces the clinical experience of ZHANG Jinghua treating hypertension in acute cerebral infarction from the liver. ZHANG Jinghua believes that hypertension in acute cerebral infarction belongs to the category of stroke and distention of vessels in Chinese medicine, and its pathogenesis belongs to yin- yang disharmony of zang- fu organs and derangement of qi and blood. Therefore,ZHANG Jinghua puts forward the idea of treating hypertension in acute cerebral infarction from the liver,and the following methods can be adopted during treatment:soothing the liver as the principle and combining with promoting qi; calming the qi as the focus and assisting with dissolving phlegm; clearing liver heat and combining with dispelling stasis; supplementing the liver as the foundation and considering the supplementation of the kidney at the same time.
