Abstract: Objective: To observe the curative effect of the therapy of Jiangzhi Hugan tang on metabolism- associated steatohepatitis(MASH) and its effect on anti- oxidative stress ability of liver. Methods: A total of 90 patients with MASH were selected and divided into the control group and the observation group according to the random number table method,with 45 cases in each group. The control group was treated with routine treatment,and the observation group was additionally treated with Jiangzhi Hugan tang based on the treatment of the control group. Before and after treatment,the Chinese medicine syndrome scores, liver function, levels of blood lipid and indexes of oxidative stress were compared between the two groups. Results:After treatment,the Chinese medicine syndrome scores and levels of serum alanine aminotransferase(ALT),aspartate aminotransferase(AST),γ- glutamyl transpeptidase(GGT), total cholesterol(TC), triglyceride(TG), low- density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL- C) and malondialdehyde (MDA) in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment(P<0.05),and the levels of superoxide dismutase(SOD) were increased(P<0.05); after treatment, each Chinese medicine syndrome score and levels of AST,ALT,GGT,TC,TG,LDL-C and MDA in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05),and the level of SOD was higher(P<0.05). Conclusion:The therapy of Jiangzhi Hugan tang can effectively reduce the oxidative stress responses in patients with MASH,enhance the anti-oxidative stress ability,improve the clinical symptoms,and has a good effect of liver protection and enzyme reduction and improving the level of blood lipid.
