Abstract：Objective：To observe the effect of the therapy of Jiangu tang combined with eynestradiol cyproterone tablets on the ovarian function and serum sex hormones in patients with polycystic ovary syndrome(PCOS) complicated with hyperandrogenemia. Methods：A total of 90 PCOS patients complicated with hyperandrogenemia were selected and divided into the treatment group and the control group according to random number table，with 45 cases in each group. The control group was orally treated with ethinylestradiol cyproterone tablets ， and the treatment group was additionally treated with Jiangu tang based on the treatment basis of the control group. The clinical effects in the two groups ， and the improvement of acne score ， Ferriman- Gallway score ， serum sex hormone levels ， including dehydroepiandrosterone(DHEAS)， testosterone(T)， sex hormone- binding globulin(SHBG) and luteinizing hormone(LH) ， and gynecological B- ultrasound examination ， including ovarian volume and follicular number，were compared between the two groups before and after treatment. The safety of the treatments in the two groups was evaluated. Results： After treatment， the total effective rate was 88.9% in the treatment group and 71.1% in the control group， the difference being significant(P＜0.05). After treatment， the acne scores and Ferriman- Gallway scores in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment，and the acne score and Ferriman-Gallway score in the treatment group were lower than those in the control group，differences being significant(P＜0.05). After treatment， the left ovarian volume， right ovarian volume and the number of ovarian follicles in the two groups were reduced when compared with those before treatment，and the above three indexes in the treatment group were lower than those in the control group， differences being significant(P＜0.05). After treatment， the levels of serum DHEAS，T and LH in the two groups were decreased，and the levels of serum SHBG were increased，differences being significant(P＜0.05). After treatment，the levels of serum DHEAS，T and LH in the treatment group were lower than those in the control group， and the SHBG level was higher， differences being significant(P＜0.05). There were no serious adverse reactions in both groups during administration. Conclusion：The therapy of Jiangu tang combined with eynestradiol cyproterone tablets can regulate endocrine function，reduce serum androgen levels and relieve clinical symptoms of hyperandrogen in PCOS patients complicated with hyperandrogenemia，which is helpful to promote the recovery of ovarian function.
