Abstract: Objective: To observe the application effect of “clinical course integration” teaching method on teaching of pediatrics of Chinese medicine. Methods:In the teaching of Pediatrics of Chinese medicine, the teaching effects of “clinical course integration” were explored by closely following the syllabus and readjusting the teaching tasks based on the characteristics of teaching objects and the mode of classroom teaching and clinical teaching with a 1∶ 1 ratio. Results: Students who accepted the teaching method of “clinical course integration” had high awareness and acceptance of the teaching method and believed it had the advantages of inspiration, training in thinking ability, and development of thinking mode, learning interest and problem- solving ability, which was conducive to grasping cutting- edge knowledge,but the teaching method was slightly inferior to the traditional teaching method in highlighting the key points and difficult knowledge. The total score of students from the class of 2017,who accepted the traditional teaching method, was slightly better than that of students from the class of 2018, who accepted the “clinical course integration” teaching method. Conclusion: The “Clinical course integration” teaching method has advantages in mobilizing students' learning enthusiasm and initiative, and has achieved the teaching objectives of improving students’clinical thinking ability, practical ability, humanistic care, and so on. This teaching method can enable students to contact clinical patients in advance,think according to the actual problems of patients,and deepen their impression in combination with classroom theoretical knowledge, which conduces to establishing clinical thinking, standardizing clinical operation,drawing inferences from one instance,and constantly strengthening training,so as to help consolidate the teaching effect.
