Abstract：This paper introduces the clinical experience of Prof. HUA Qiong in treating gout. Prof. HUA believes that spleen- kidney depletion is the root of the pathological changes of gout，and the evasion of cold- dampness pathogen， phlegm stagnation caused by pathogenic dampness and obstruction of blood stasis are the foundation. She advocates to differentiate the disease and treat it according to different stages and types of the disease. In the diagnosis of the disease，she combines the four diagnostic methods and attaches great importance to tongue inspection. In her treatment method， it is based on clearing pathogenic dampness，with the key of unblocking collaterals and dissolving phlegm，and finally achieves the function of fortifying the spleen and supplement the kidney. She also pays attention to combine the oral administration and external application of medicine. In clinical treatment， she is good at applying rattan medicine and worm medicine under the guidance of the analogy method in Chinese medicine.
