Abstract: Objective: To observe the clinical effect of Xiao'er Chaigui Tuire granules combined with oseltamivir for influenza A in children. Methods: A total of 92 cases of children with influenza A were selected and divided into the control group and the observation group, with 46 cases in each group. The control group was treated with oseltamivir, and the observation group was additionally treated with Xiao'er Chaigui Tuire granules based on the treatment of the control group. Both groups were treated for seven days. Clinical effects, the duration of clinical symptoms including fever, pharyngeal pain and catarrhal symptoms , and the incidence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Levels of inflammatory factors including high- sensitivity C- reactive protein(hs- CRP), interleukin- 4(IL- 4) and interferon-γ(IFN-γ) in serum before and after treatment were compared between the two groups. Results: The effective rate was 60.87% in the observation group, better than that of 43.48% in the control group(P< 0.05). The duration of fever, pharyngeal pain and catarrhal symptoms in the observation group were shorter than those in the control group(P<0.05). After treatment, levels of hs-CRP,IL-4 and IFN-γ in serum in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment, and the three levels above in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, differences being significant(P<0.05). The incidence of adverse reactions was 21.74% in the observation group and 13.04% in the control group, there being no significance in the difference(P>0.05). Conclusion:Xiao'er Chaigui Tuire granules combined with oseltamivir for influenza A in children can improve clinical symptoms in a short time and inhibit inflammatory responses, with good safety.
