Clinical Study on Arthroscopic Triple Release Combined with Chinese Herbal Fumigation for Rotator Cuff Injury Complicated with Scapulohumeral Periarthritis
Abstract: Objective: To observe the clinical effect of arthroscopic triple release combined with Chinese herbal fumigation for rotator cuff injury(RCI) complicated with scapulohumeral periarthritis(SP). Methods:A total of 214 cases of patients with RCI complicated with SP of wind-cold obstruction type were divided into the control group and the study group according to the random number table method, with 107 cases in each group, one case was excluded from the control group. The control group was treated with arthroscopic triple release, and the study group was additionally treated with Chinese herbal fumigation on the fourth to twelfth weeks after operation based on the treatment of the control group. Before operation and the 13th week after operation, the Constant-Murley Score(CMS) and shoulder range of motion in the two groups were compared. The clinical effects in the two groups were compared. Results: On the 13th week after operation, the scores of pain, activities of living, shoulder range of motion and muscle strength,as well as the total scores in the two groups were increased when compared with those before operation(P<0.05),and the scores of each dimension and the total score in CMS in the study group were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05); the angles of abduction, anteflexion, intorsion and extorsion in the two groups were increased when compared with those before operation(P< 0.05), and the angles of abduction, anteflexion, intorsion and extorsion in the study group were larger than those in the control group(P<0.05). The total effective rate was 98.13% in the study group, higher than that of 90.57% in the control group(P<0.05). Conclusion:Arthroscopic triple release combined with Chinese herbal fumigation for patients with RCI complicated with SP can promote their rehabilitation of shoulder joint function with a good clinical effect.
