Abstract: Objective: To observe the curative effect of Huanglong Zhike granules combined with routine western medicine for children with recurrent respiratory tract infection and its effect on T cell subsets in peripheral blood. Methods: A total of 100 cases of children with recurrent respiratory tract infection were selected and divided into the control group and the study group according to the random number table method, with 50 cases in each group. The control group was treated with routine western medicine, and the study group was additionally treated with Huanglong Zhike granules based on the treatment of the control group. The clinical effects and the incidence of adverse reactions in the two groups were evaluated;the levels of T cell subsets before and after treatment as well as the disappearance time of symptoms in the two groups were compared. Results: The total effective rate was 96.00% in the study group, higher than that of 88.00% in the control group, the difference being significant(P<0.05). The antipyretic time and the disappearance time of expectoration,wheezing and pulmonary rales in the study group were shorter than those in the control group, the difference being significant(P<0.05). Before treatment,there was no significant difference being found in the comparison of the levels of T cell subsets between the two groups(P>0.05). After treatment,the levels of CD3 +,CD4 + and CD4 +/CD8 + in the two groups were higher than those before treatment(P<0.05),and the levels of CD3+,CD4+ and CD4+/CD8+ in the study group were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05). After treatment,the levels of CD8+ in the two groups were lower than those before treatment(P<0.05),and the level of CD8+ in the study group was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05). Conclusion: The therapy of Huanglong Zhike granules combined with routine western medicine for children with recurrent respiratory tract infection has a good curative effect and high safety, which can effectively relieve their clinical symptoms and significantly improve their immune function.
