Abstract: Objective: To observe the clinical effect of Bushen Wenyang Zhitong tang combined with tuina for lumbar hyperosteogeny. Methods: A total of 100 cases of patients with lumbar hyperosteogeny were selected and divided into the treatment group and the control group according to the random number table method,with 50 cases in each group. After admission,both groups were given routine treatment; the control group was additionally treated with tuina,and the treatment group was additionally treated with Bushen Wenyang Zhitong tang based on the treatment of the control group. The clinical effects as well as the changes in Chinese medicine symptom scores,pain degree,lumbar function and biochemical indexes before and after treatment in the two groups were observed. Results:The total clinical effective rate was 94.00% in the treatment group, better than that of 76.00% in the control group, the difference being significant(P<0.05). After treatment,all scores of symptoms and signs in the two groups were lower than those before treatment(P<0.05),and each score of symptoms and signs in the treatment group was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05). After treatment, the scores of Visual Analogue Scale(VAS) and Oswestry Disability Index(ODI) in the two groups were lower than those before treatment(P<0.05), and the scores of VAS and ODI in the treatment group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05). After treatment, the level of serum thromboxane B2(TXB2) in the treatment group was lower than that before treatment(P<0.05),and the level of serum 6-keto-prostaglandin F1α(6-K-PGF1α) was higher(P<0.05), and the improvement of the two indexes in the treatment group was more significant than that in the control group(P<0.05). There was no significant difference being found in the comparison of the levels of TXB2 and 6-K-PGF1α in serum before and after treatment in the control group(P>0.05). Conclusion:The therapy of Bushen Wenyang Zhitong tang combined with tuina for lumbar hyperosteogeny has a significant curative effect,and can effectively regulate the levels of TXB2 and 6-K-PGF1α in serum,alleviate pain,significantly improve lumbar function.
