Clinical Study on Modified Qingfei Yin Combined with Shenmai Injection for COPD of Phlegm-Dampness Obstructing the Lung Type Complicated with Pulmonary Infection
Abstract: Objective: To observe the clinical effect of modified Qingfei yin combined with Shenmai injection for chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD) of phlegm-dampness obstructing the lung type complicated with pulmonary infection. Methods: A total of 82 cases of patients with COPD complicated with pulmonary infection were selected and divided into the control group and the treatment group according to the random number table method, with 41 cases in each group. Both groups were given routine intervention;the control group was additionally treated with Shenmai injection, and the treatment group was additionally given the oral administration of Qingfei yin based on the treatment of the control group. Both groups were treated for ten days. The Clinical Pulmonary Infection Score(CPIS), the lung function including forced vital capacity(FVC), forced expiratory volume in the first second(FEV1) and FEV1/ FVC,and the total clinical effects in the two groups were compared. Results:The total effective rate was 95.12% in the treatment group and 75.61% in the control group, the difference being significant(P<0.05). After treatment,CPIS scores in the two groups were significantly decreased when compared with those before treatment(P<0.05),and CPIS score in the treatment group was significantly lower than that in the control group(P<0.05). After treatment, FVC, FEV1 and FEV1/FVC in the two groups were significantly increased when compared with those before treatment(P<0.05),and the above indexes in the treatment group were significantly higher than those in the control group(P<0.05). Conclusion: The therapy of modified Qingfei yin combined with Shenmai injection has a significant curative effect in the treatment of patients with COPD of phlegm-dampness obstructing the lung type complicated with pulmonary infection, which can reduce lung infection and improve lung function.
