Abstract:Objective:To observe the clinical effect of the therapy of Jiegu Qili tablets combined with interlocking intramedullary nail fixationon patients with tibiofibula fracture. Methods: A total of 120 cases with tibiofibula fracture of qi stagnation and blood stasis type were randomly divided into the study group(62 cases) and the control group(58 cases). The control group was treated with interlocking intramedullary nail fixation, and the study group was treated with interlocking intramedullary nail fixation combined with Jiegu Qili tablets. The levels of platelet-derived growth factor(PDGF),bone morphogenetic protein- 2(BMP- 2) and vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF) were compared between the two groups twelve weeks after surgery,and the scores of American Orthopedic Foot and Ankle Society(AOFAS) and the incidence of postoperative complications were compared between the two groups. Results: Before surgery, there was no significant difference in the comparison of levels of PDGF, BMP- 2 and VEGF between the two groups(P>0.05); twelve weeks after surgery, the levels of the above bone healing indexes in both groups were higher than those before treatment(P<0.05),and all levels in the study group were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05). Before surgery,there was no significant difference in the comparisons of scores of pain sensation,activity and walking,stability and shape in AOFAS between the two groups(P>0.05);twelve weeks after surgery,the scores of the above dimensions in both groups were increased when compared with those before treatment, and the above scores in the study group were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05). After surgery,the total complication rate was 6.45% in the study group and 17.24% in the control group,the difference being significant(P<0.05). Conclusion: The therapy of Jiegu Qili tablets combined with interlocking intramedullary nail fixation can promote callus growth and improve calf function in patients with tibiofibular fracture,and the incidence of complications is relatively low,with great safety.
