Abstract：Objective：To observe the curative effect of Yangxin Shengmai granules for viral myocarditis of qi-yin deficiency type. Methods：A total of 64 cases of patients with viral myocarditis of qi-yin deficiency type were selected and divided into the control group and the treatment group according to the random number table method，with 32 cases in each group. Both group was treated with routine western medicine treatment according to relevant guidelines of viral myocarditis，the control group was given vibavirin and the treatment group was additionally treated with the oral administration with Yangxin Shengmai granules based on the treatment of the control group. The heart function including left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF) and early diastolic / late diastolic maximum blood flow velocity(E/A)，myocardial enzyme indexes including levels of serum cardiac troponin-I(cTnI) and heart-type fatty acid binding protein(H-FABP)，and clinical effects were compared between the two groups. Results：The total effective rate was 90.63% in the treatment group and 65.63% in the control group，the difference being significant(P＜0.05). After treatment，LVEF and E/A in the two groups were significantly increased when compared with those before treatment，and LVEF and E/A in the treatment group were significantly higher than those in the control group(P＜0.05). After treatment， levels of cTnI and H- FABP in serum in the two groups were significantly decreased when compared with those before treatment，and the two levels in the treatment group were significantly lower than those in the control group(P＜0.05). Conclusion：Based on routine western medicine treatment and vibavirin，Yangxin Shengmai granules for viral myocarditis of qi-yin deficiency type can effectively improve the heart function，reduce levels of myocardial enzymes and enhance clinical effect.
