Abstract： Objective： To observe the clinical effect of modified Shenghua tang combined with femoston for infertility caused by endometriosis(EM). Methods： A total of 80 cases of patients with infertility caused by EM were selected and divided into the control group and the observation group according to the random number table method，with 40 cases in each group. The control group was treated with femoston，and the observation group was additionally treated with modified Shenghua tang based on the treatment of the control group. Both groups were treated for three menstrual cycles. The basal body temperature(BBT)，ovulation rates，pregnancy rates and the levels of sex hormones in serum including estradiol(E 2 )，follicle stimulating hormone(FSH) and luteinizing hormone(LH) before and after treatment and the clinical effects in the two groups were compared. The adverse reactions were recorded. Results：After treatment for one，two and three menstrual cycles，the proportion of biphasic BBT in the two groups were increased when compared with those before treatment(P＜0.05)，and the proportion of biphasic BBT in the observation group was higher than that in the control group at the same period(P＜0.05). After treatment for one，two and three menstrual cycles，the ovulation rates and pregnancy rates in the observation group were higher than those in the control group at the same period(P＜0.05). After treatment for one，two and three menstrual cycles，the levels of FSH，LH and E 2 in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment(P＜0.05)，and the levels of FSH，LH and E 2 in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P＜0.05). The total effective rate was 95.00% in the observation group，higher than that of 80.00% in the control group(P＜0.05). After treatment，there was no serious adverse reaction in the two groups. Conclusion：Modified Shenghua tang combined with femoston has a good curative effect in treating infertility caused by EM， which can effectively regulate levels of sex hormones and improve ovulation rates and pregnancy rates with high safety.
