Abstract:Objective:To observe the effect of auricular point pressing with beans on swallowing rehabilitation and quality of life of patients with post-stroke dysphagia. Methods:A total of 90 patients with post-stroke dysphagia were divided into the observation group and the control group according to random number table, with 45 cases in each group. Both groups were given standardized treatment in Rehabilitation Medicine Department and swallowing function training, and the observation group was additionally treated with auricular point pressing with beans. Both groups were treated for three months. The scores of Standardized Swallowing Assessment(SSA),drinking water test,National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale(NIHSS),Barthel Index(BI) and Swallowing-Quality of Life(SWAL-QOL) were evaluated before and after treatment. The clinical effects in the two groups were compared and the occurrence of adverse reactions was observed. Results: After treatment, the total effective rate was 91.1% in the observation group, higher than that of 73.3% in the control group(P< 0.05). The scores of SSA,drinking water test and NIHSS in both groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment(P<0.05), and the scores of BI and SWAL- QOL were increased(P<0.05). The scores of SSA, SSA, drinking water test and NIHSS in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05),and the scores of BI and SWAL- QOL were higher(P<0.05). There was no serious adverse reaction related to medicine in both groups during treatment. Conclusion:Auricular point pressing with beans has a significant therapeutic effect on patients with post-stroke dysphagia, which helps improve the swallowing function and daily activity ability of patients, enhance the quality of life and promote disease rehabilitation.
