Clinical Study on Therapy of Moxibustion and Acupuncture on Governor Vessel for Ischemic Stroke of Qi Deficiency and Blood Stasis Type Complicated with Hemiplegia
Abstract:Objective:To observe the clinical effect of the therapy of moxibustion and acupuncture on governor vessel for patients with cerebral ischemic stroke(CIS) of qi deficiency and blood stasis type complicated with hemiplegia and its effect on intracranial hemodynamics and serum levels of cyclic adenosine monophosphate(cAMP) and cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP). Methods:A total of 109 patients with CIS of qi deficiency and blood stasis type complicated with hemiplegia were randomly divided into the control group and the observation group, with 54 and 55 cases in each group respectively. Both groups were treated with management of underlying disease, the control group was treated with routine acupuncture, and the observation group was additionally treated with the therapy of moxibustion and acupuncture on governor vessel. The clinical effects and changes of walking ability, intracranial hemodynamics and serum levels of cAMP and cGMP were compared between the two groups. Results:The total effective rate was 89.09% in the observation group and 72.22% in the control group, the difference being significant(P<0.05). After treatment, the six- minute walking distance and ten- meter walking time in the two groups were improved when compared with those before treatment(P<0.05),and the improvement of the two indexes in the observation group was better than that in the control group(P<0.05). After treatment, the flow velocity of anterior cerebral artery, middle cerebral artery and posterior cerebral artery in the two groups was increased when compared with that before treatment(P<0.05), and the improvement of the three indexes in the observation group was better than that in the control group(P<0.05). After treatment, the levels of cAMP and cGMP in the two groups were improved when compared with those before treatment(P<0.05),and the improvement of the two indexes in the observation group was better than that in the control group(P<0.05). Conclusion: The application of the therapy of moxibustion and acupuncture on governor vessel has an obvious curative effect on patients with CIS of qi deficiency and blood stasis type complicated with hemiplegia, which can improve the walking ability, intracranial hemodynamics indexes and the levels of cAMP and cGMP.
