Abstract:This paper introduces the clinical experience of Professor FENG Zhengquan treating cancerous pleural effusion. FENG believes that cancerous pleural effusion belongs to the category of Chinese medicine pleural rheum,which is related to the dysfunction of lung,spleen and kidney,and the dysfunction of qi transformation in triple energizers. The pathogenesis is mainly yang deficiency with yin exuberance. Malignant ascites falls into the category of Chinese medicine tympanites,which is related to the deficiency of liver, spleen and kidney, resulting to qi stagnation, blood stasis and water retention. The treatment methods are as follows:in urgent conditions,treat the tip and expel water by purgation;in moderate conditions, boost qi and nourish yin, and fortify the spleen and drain water. In terms of integrated Chinese and western medicine therapy, the methods are diverse: first, give the external application with Chinese herbal medicine and promote water excretion;second,give thermotherapy to improve the effect and control the disease;third,adjust the mood and regulate the qi movement. Through integrated Chinese and western medicine therapy with complementary advantages,the quality of life of patients can be improved.
