Abstract： Objective： To observe the clinical effect of the therapy of QIU's fang huaxue yin combined with constant temperature moxibustion at acupoints， QIU's experience for short， assisting medication abortion. Methods： A total of 128 patients who received medication abortion were randomly divided into two groups. A total of 59 cases in the control group were treated with routine medication abortion schedule. Based on the treatment of the control group，a total of 69 cases in the Chinese medicine group were treated with constant temperature moxibustion at Shenque point(CV8) on the day receiving the routine medication abortion schedule，and were treated with oral administration of QIU's Fanghuaxue yin in the following seven days，with one dose per day. The interval time of excretion of gestational sac，total score of bleeding，duration of bleeding， time of menses recovery， success rate of abortion， curettage rate and incidence of adverse reactions were observed and compared between the two groups. Results：During the observation，there was no significant difference being found in the comparison of gestational sac excretion rates between the two groups(P＞0.05)；the difference in the success rate of medication abortion between the two groups was significant(P＞0.05)；the difference in the incidence of abdominal pain in adverse reactions between the two groups was significant(P＜0.05)；there was no significant difference being found in the comparisons of incidence of nausea，vomiting，vertigo and headache in adverse reactions between the two groups(P＞ 0.05). There was no significant difference being found in the comparison of excretion time of gestational sac between the two groups(P＞0.05)； the differences in the duration of vaginal bleeding， total score of bleeding and time of menses recovery between the two groups were significant(P＜0.05，P＜0.01). Conclusion：QIU' s experience can alleviate the abdominal pain responses of patients，increase the success rate of medication abortion，reduce the amount of bleeding，and shorten the duration of bleeding after medication abortion and time of menses recovery.
