Abstract： Objective： To discuss the clinical effect of anti- inflammatory analgesic plaster combined with magnesium sulfate for phlebitis caused by iron sucrose injection. Methods：A total of 112 cases of patients with phlebitis were randomly divided into the control group and the study group， with 56 cases in each group. The control group was treated with magnesium sulfate， and the study group was additionally treated with anti- inflammatory analgesic plaster based on the treatment of the control group. The scores of Visual Analogue Scale(VAS) and symptoms and sign before and after treatment and the total clinical effective rates in the two groups were observed and compared. Results： The total effective rate was 96.4% in the study group and 83.9% in the control group，the difference being significant(P＜0.05). After treatment for one and three days，the VAS scores in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment，and the VAS scores in the study group were lower than those in the control group at the same time point(P＜0.05). After treatment for one and three days， the symptom and sign scores in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment，and the symptom and sign scores in the study group were lower than those in the control group at the same time point(P＜0.05). Conclusion： The application of anti- inflammatory analgesic plaster combined with magnesium sulfate for phlebitis caused by iron sucrose injection can significantly improve clinical effect， and effectively relieve pain and clinical symptoms.
