Abstract： Objective： To observe the clinical effect of Shangke Jiegu pills combined with internal fixation with locking plate for tibial fracture. Methods： A total of 82 cases of patients with tibial fracture were selected and divided into the observation group and the control group according to random number table method， with 41 cases in each group. Both groups were given internal fixation with locking plate. After the fixation，the control group was given routine treatment，and the observation group was treated with Shangke Jiegu pills and routine treatment. Both groups were treated for 12 weeks. Operation time， intraoperative blood loss and hospitalization time were compared between the two groups. The scores of Visual Analogue Scale(VAS) for pain after treatment，fracture healing rates and clinical effects were compared between the two groups. Results： The total effective rate was 97.56% in the observation group and 80.49% in the control group(P＜ 0.05)，the difference being significant(P＜0.05). There was no significant difference being found in comparisons of operation time，intraoperative blood loss and hospitalization time between the two groups(P＞0.05). There was no significant difference being found in the comparison of VAS scores at the 24 hours after fixation between the two groups(P＞0.05). After 6 and 12 weeks of treatment， the VAS scores at different time points in the two groups were decreased when compared with 24 hours after fixation(P＜0.05)，and the score in the observation group was lower than that in the control group(P＜0.05). After 12 weeks of treatment， the fracture healing rate was 58.54% in the observation group and 34.15% in the control group，the difference being significant(P＜0.05). Conclusion：Shangke Jiegu pills combined with internal fixation with locking plate has a significant curative effect in the treatment of tibial fracture，which can effectively relieve postoperative pain and promote fracture healing.
