Abstract:Objective:To observe the clinical effect of gingko leaf tablets combined with rosuvastatin for acute cerebral infarction complicated with unstable carotid plaque. Methods: A total of 82 cases of patients with acute cerebral infarction complicated with unstable carotid plaque were selected and divided into two groups according to the random number table method, with 41 cases in each group. The control group was treated with rosuvastatin, and the observation group was additionally treated with gingko leaf tablets based on the treatment of the control group. Both groups were treated for six months. Clinical effects and incidence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Plaque scores,National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale(NIHSS) scores, and levels of total cholesterol(TC),triglyceride(TG),low-density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL- C) and C- reactive protein(CRP) were compared between the two groups before and after treatment. Results:The total effective rate in the observation group was 92.68%,higher than that of 75.61% in the control group(P< 0.05). After treatment, plaque scores and NIHSS scores as well as levels of TC,TG,LDL- C and CRP in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment, and the two scores as well as levels of TC,TG,LDL-C and CRP in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, differences being significant(P<0.05). There being no significance in the difference in the incidence of adverse reactions in both group(P>0.05). Conclusion:Gingko leaf tablets combined with rosuvastatin has a good curative effect in the treatment of acute cerebral infarction complicated with unstable carotid plaque, which can improve neurological function and regulate blood lipid and CRP level, with high safety.
