Abstract: Objective: To observe the curative effect of Tongqiao Huashuan tang combined with alteplase for acute cerebral infarction. Methods:A total of 88 cases of patients with acute with wind- phlegm stasis obstruction type cerebral infarction were divided into the control group and the combination group according to the random number table method,with 44 cases in each group. Both groups were treated with alteplase thrombolysis, after 24 hours of thrombolytic therapy, symptomatic treatments were given, such as routine anticoagulation, antiplatelet and reducing brain edema, and the combination group was additionally treated with Tongqiao Huashuan tang. Both groups were treated for 14 days. Before and after treatment,brain nerve function state[National Institute of Health Stroke Scale(NIHSS) scores],activities of daily living [Modified Barthel Index(MBI) scores], serum inflammatory factors [C- reactive protein(CRP), interleukin- 8(IL- 8) and procalcitonin(PCT)] and D- Dimer(D- D) levels were assessed. Clinical effects and incidences of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results:After 14 days of treatment,the total effective rate in the combination group was higher than that in the control group(P<0.05). NIHSS scores in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment, and MBI scores were increased, differences being significant(P<0.05); NIHSS score in the combination group was lower than that in the control group, and MBI score was higher, differences being significant(P< 0.05). The levels of CRP, PCT, IL- 8 and D- D in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment(P<0.05),and the above four levels in the combination group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05). There was no significant difference being found in the comparison of incidences of adverse reactions between the two groups (P>0.05). Conclusion:The application of Tongqiao Huashuan tang combined with alteplase can improve the clinical effect of patients with acute cerebral infarction, and promote the recovery of neurological function, reduce the inflammation, and effectively improve the coagulation function and the activities of daily living,with high safety.
