Abstract:Objective:To observe the clinical effect of Xiafu Zhutan tang combined with cinepazide maleate injection for cerebral embolism. Methods: A total of 120 cases of patients with cerebral embolism were selected and divided into the control group and the observation group according to different treatment plans, with 60 cases in each group. The control group was treated with cinepazide maleate injection,and the observation group was treated with cinepazide maleate injection combined with Xiafu Zhutan tang. After two weeks of treatment, the clinical effects, the scores of National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS), Fugl- Meyer Motor Assessment (Fugl- Meyer) and Barthel Index for Activities of Daily Living (Barthel),and the levels of inflammatory factors including interleukin-6 (IL-6) and hypersensitive C-reactive protein (hs-CRP) in the two groups were compared. Results:The total effective rate was 91.67% in the observation group and 76.67% in the control group,the difference being significant (P<0.05). Before treatment,there was no significant difference being found in the comparison of NIHSS scores between the two groups (P>0.05). After treatment,NIHSS score in the observation group was lower than that in the control group (P<0.05). Before treatment,there was no significant difference being found in the comparison of the scores of Fugl-Meyer and Barthel between the two groups (P>0.05). After treatment,the scores of Fugl- Meyer and Barthel in the observation group were higher than those in the control group (P<0.05). Before treatment,there was no significant difference being found in the comparison of the levels of IL- 6 and hs-CRP between the two groups (P> 0.05). After treatment,the levels of IL- 6 and hs- CRP in the observation group were lower than those in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion:The therapy of Xiafu Zhutan tang combined with cinepazide maleate injection for patients with cerebral embolism has a definite clinical effect, which can inhibit the inflammatory response, significantly reduce the degree of neurological impairment,and improve their motor function and activities of daily living.
