Abstract: Objective: To observe the clinical effect of pulsed radiofrequency treatment combined with Chinese herbal fumigation for osteoarthritis in knee joint. Methods: A total of 60 cases of patients with osteoarthritis in knee joint were selected as the study subjects and divided into the experiment group and the control group according to the random number table method, with 30 cases in each group. The control group was given injection with sodium hyaluronate, and the experiment group was treated with pulsed radiofrequency treatment combined with Chinese herbal fumigation. The pain and function in knee joint, the clinical effects and the satisfaction degrees in the two groups were compared. Results: After treatment, the total effective rate was 96.67% in the experiment group, higher than that of 83.33% in the control group(P< 0.05). After treatment, the scores of Visual Analogue Scale(VAS) and Western Ontario and Mcmaster Universities Osteoarthritis Index(WOMAC) in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment(P<0.05),and the scores of VAS and WOMAC in the experiment group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05). The satisfaction degree in the experiment group was higher than that in the control group(P<0.05). Conclusion: Pulsed radiofrequency treatment combined with Chinese herbal fumigation has a definite curative effect in treating osteoarthritis in knee joint, which can effectively relieve pain and improve knee joint function with high satisfaction degrees.
