Abstract: Objective: To observe the clinical effect of Chinese herbal fumigation and acupuncture combined with rehabilitation training for strephenopodia after stroke. Methods:A total of 86 patients with strephenopodia after stroke were selected and divided into the control group and the observation group according to the random number table method, with 43 cases in each group. The control group was given rehabilitation training, and the observation group was additionally treated with Chinese herbal fumigation combined with acupuncture based on the treatment of the control group. Both groups were treated for four weeks. Strephenopodia angle, spasm degree, gait and lower limb motor function before and after treatment as well as the clinical effects in the two groups were compared, and adverse reactions in the two groups were recorded. Results:The total effective rate was 93.02% in the observation group, higher than that of 74.42% in the control group(P< 0.05). After treatment, strephenopodia angles in the two groups were reduced when compared with those before treatment (P<0.05),the clinical spasticity index(CSI) scores were decreased(P<0.05),and the scores of Tinetti Scale and Fugl-Meyer Motor Function Assessment of lower limbs(FMA- L) were increased(P<0.05);the strephenopodia angle in the observation group was smaller than that in the control group(P<0.05),the CSI score was lower(P<0.05),and the scores of Tinetti Scale and FMA- L were higher(P<0.05). During the treatment, there was one case of pruritus and one case of acupuncture syncope in the observation group, and one case of swelling in the affected limbs in the control group, all disappeared after symptomatic treatment. Conclusion:The therapy of Chinese herbal fumigation and acupuncture combined with rehabilitation training for strephenopodia after stroke has a good curative effect, which can improve the gait and lower limb motor function of patients with high safety.
