Abstract：Objective：To observe the clinical effect of Guipi mixture combined with propafenone hydrochloride tablets for arrhythmia of heart and spleen deficiency type. Methods：A total of 60 patients with arrhythmia of heart and spleen deficiency type were selected and divided into the control group and the observation group according to the random number table method， with 30 cases in each group. The control group was treated with propafenone hydrochloride tablets， and the observation group was additionally treated with Guipi mixture based on the treatment of the control group. Both groups were treated for four weeks. The standard deviation of NN intervals(SDNN)，standard deviation of averaged NN intervals(SDANN) and Chinese medicine syndrome scores before and after treatment as well as the clinical effects were compared between the two groups. Results： After treatment， the SDNN and SDANN in both groups were increased when compared with those before treatment(P＜0.05)，and the SDNN and SDANN in the observation group were larger than those in the control group (P＜0.05). After treatment，the scores of palpitation，shortness of breath，dizziness，pale complexion，lassitude of spirit and lack of strength， abdominal distension and loose stool in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment(P＜0.05)，and the scores of the above seven Chinese medicine syndromes in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P＜0.05). The total effective rate was 93.33% in the observation group，higher than that of 66.67% in the control group(P＜0.05). Conclusion：The therapy of Guipi mixture combined with propafenone hydrochloride tablets has a good curative effect on arrhythmia of heart and spleen deficiency type，which can further alleviate the clinical symptoms and improve the cardiac function of patients.
