Clinical Study on Fumigation with Xuefu Zhuyu Tang Combined with Vibration Therapy for Strengthened Muscle Tension of Lower Limbs During Convalescence Stage of Stroke
Abstract:Objective:To observe the clinical effect of fumigation with Xuefu Zhuyu tang combined with vibration therapy for strengthened muscle tension of lower limbs during convalescence stage of stroke and its effects on motor function of patients. Methods: A total of 82 cases of patients with strengthened muscle tension of lower limbs during convalescence stage of stroke were selected and divided into the control group and the observation group according to the random number table method,with 41 cases in each group. The control group was treated with vibration therapy,and the observation group was additionally treated with fumigation with Xuefu Zhuyu tang based on the treatment of the control group. Both groups were treated for eight weeks. Muscle tension and motor function before and after treatment as well as clinical effects and incidences of adverse reactions in the two groups were compared. Results: The total effective rate was 90.24% in the observation group,higher than that of 70.73% in the control group(P<0.05). After treatment,scores of Modified Ashworth Scale(MAS) and values of root mean square(RMS) in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment(P<0.05),and MAS score and RMS value in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P< 0.05);the scores of Fugl-Meyer Assessment-Lower Extremity(FMA-L) and Holden Functional Ambulation Categories(FAC) in the two groups were increased when compared with those before treatment(P<0.05), and the two scores in the observation group were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05). The incidence of adverse reactions was 9.76% in the observation group and 4.88% in the control group, there being no significance being found in the difference(P>0.05). Conclusion:Fumigation with Xuefu Zhuyu tang combined with vibration therapy has a good clinical effect in the treatment of strengthened muscle tension of lower limbs during convalescence stage of stroke. It can effectively reduce muscle tension of patients and improve motor function with good safety.
