Abstract： Objective： To observe the effect of moxibustion combined with rehabilitation training on limb function and activities of daily living in patients with acute cerebral infarction(ACI) in convalescence. Methods：A total of 86 cases of ACI patients in convalescence were randomly divided into the treatment group and the control group according to the random number table method， with 43 cases in each group. The control group was treated with rehabilitation training， and the treatment group was treated with rehabilitation training combined with moxibustion. Both groups were treated for two months. The neurological function，pain in limbs，limb function and quality of life before and after treatment and the clinical effects in the two groups were compared. Results： The total clinical effective rate was 93.02% in the treatment group， significantly higher than that of 76.74% in the control group(P＜0.05). After treatment，the scores of Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) and National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale(NIHSS) in the two groups were significantly decreased when compared with those before treatment(P＜0.05)，and the scores of Japanese Orthopaedic Association(JOA) were increased(P＜0.05)； the scores of VAS and NIHSS in the treatment group were lower than those in the control group(P＜0.05)，and the JOA score was higher(P＜0.05). After treatment， the scores of Fugl- Meyer Assessment(FMA)， Activities of Daily Living(Barthel Index)， and Stroke Specific Quality of Life Scale(SS- QOL) in the two groups were significantly increased when compared with those before treatment(P＜0.05)， and the scores of FMA， Barthel index and SS- QOL in the treatment group were higher than those in the control group(P＜0.05). Conclusion：Moxibustion combined with rehabilitation training can improve neurological function and limb function in patients with ACI in convalescence，relieve their pain in limbs and improve quality of life.
