Abstract： Objective： To observe the clinical effect of Yiwei Xiaoai tang adjuvant chemotherapy on advanced gastric cancer. Methods：A total of 120 patients with advanced gastric cancer were selected and divided into the observation group and the control group by random number table method， with 60 cases in each group. The control group was treated with chemotherapy，and the observation group was additionally treated with Yiwei Xiaoai tang. The Chinese medicine syndrome scores，RBC count，WBC count and levels of carcinoembryonic antigen were compared between the two groups before and after treatment， and the clinical effects were evaluated. Results： The total effective rate was 93.33% in the observation group，higher than that of 80.00% in the control group，the difference being significant(P＜0.05). Before treatment，there was no significant difference in the RBC count，the WBC count and the level of carcinoembryonic antigen between the two groups(P＞0.05). After treatment， the RBC count， WBC count and the levels of carcinoembryonic antigen in both groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment(P＜0.05)， but the RBC count and the WBC count in the observation group were higher than those in the control group，and the level of carcinoembryonic antigen was lower(P＜0.05). Before treatment，there was no significant difference in the scores of gastric cavity pain，poor appetite，early satiety and upper abdominal distension between the two groups(P＞0.05). After treatment， the scores of gastric cavity pain， poor appetite， early satiety and upper abdominal distension in both groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment，and the above scores in the observation group were lower than those in the control group，the difference being significant(P＜0.05). Conclusion： Yiwei Xiaoai tang adjuvant chemotherapy has a great clinical effect on the treatment of advanced gastric cancer，which can lessen the clinical symptoms of patients，reduce the level of carcinoembryonic antigen and improve the blood routine indexes.
