Effect of Modified Shaoyao Gancao Tang Combined with Low- Dose Aripiprazole on Endocrine Function in Patients with Hyperprolactinemia Caused by Amisulpiride
Abstract:Objective:To observe the effect of modified Shaoyao Gancao tang combined with low- dose aripiprazole on endocrine function in patients with hyperprolactinemia caused by amisulpiride. Methods:A total of 232 cases of patients with hyperprolactinemia caused by amisulpiride were divided into the treatment group and the control group according to the random number table method, with 116 cases in each group. The control group was treated with low-dose aripiprazole, and the treatment group was additionally treated with modified Shaoyao Gancao tang based on the treatment of the control group. Both groups were treated for eight weeks. The changes in the levels of estrogen(E2), follicle stimulating hormone(FSH), testosterone(T),prolactin(PRL),cortisol and adrenocorticotropic hormone(ACTH),and the scores of Positive and Negative Syndrome Scale(PANSS), Treatment Emergent Symptom Scale(TESS) and Wisconsin Card Sorting Test(WCST) before and after treatment in the two groups were compared. The clinical effects and the incidence of adverse reactions in the two groups were compared. Results:After treatment, the levels of hormones including E2,FSH and T in the two groups were increased when compared with those before treatment, and the levels of E2,FSH and T in the treatment group were higher than those in the control group, differences being significant(P<0.05). After treatment, the levels of PRL,cortisol and ACTH in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment, differences being significant(P<0.05); the PRL, cortisol and ACTH level in the treatment group were lower than that in the control group, differences being significant(P< 0.05). After treatment, the scores of PANSS and TESS in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment, and the above two scores in the treatment group were lower than those in the control group, differences being significant(P<0.05). After treatment, the scores of correct answers and completed classification in WCST in the two groups were increased when compared with those before treatment, and the scores of wrong answers, persistent errors and random errors were decreased, differences being significant(P<0.05); the scores of correct answers and completed classification in the treatment group were higher than those in the control group, and the scores of wrong answers, persistent errors and random errors were lower, differences being significant(P<0.05). The total effective rate of clinical effect was 96.55% in the treatment group and 89.66% in the control group, the difference being significant(P<0.05). The incidence of adverse reactions was 5.17% in the control group, higher than that of 3.45% in the treatment group, there being no significance in the difference(P>0.05). Conclusion: Modified Shaoyao Gancao tang combined with low- dose aripiprazole on endocrine function has a good curative effect in treating patients with hyperprolactinemia caused by amisulpiride, and can effectively improve endocrine function, hormone levels and mental state, and enhance their cognitive function.
