Abstract： Objective： To observe the clinical effect of Qingre Tiaozhong tang combined with quadruple therapy on the treatment of chronic gastritis of type of cold and heat in complexity. Methods：A total of 100 cases of chronic gastritis of type of cold and heat in complexity were selected as the research objects and divided into the control group and the observation group according to random number table method， with 50 cases in each group. The control group was given quadruple therapy，and the observation group was additionally given Qingre Tiaozhong tang based on the treatment of the control group. The clinical effects and the scores of Visual Analogue Scale(VAS)，quality of life and Chinese medicine syndromes before and after treatment were compared between the two groups. Results： The total effective rate was 96.00% in the observation group，higher than that of 82.00% in the control group，the difference being significant(P＜0.05). After treatment，the VAS scores in both groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment，and the scores of quality of life were increased(P＜0.05)；the VAS score in the observation group was lower than that in the control group，and the score of quality of life was higher， differences being significant(P＜0.05). After treatment， the Chinese medicine syndrome scores of abdominal distention， abdominal pain， acid reflux， heartburn， constipation， hiccups， belching and early satiety in both groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment，and the above eight scores in the observation group were lower than those in the control group， differences being significant(P＜0.05). Conclusion： Qingre Tiaozhong tang combined with quadruple therapy is effective in the treatment of chronic gastritis，which can relieve the clinical symptoms and improve the quality of life.
