Clinical Study on Modified Qianjin Weijing Tang and Xiaoxianxiong Tang Combined with Routine Therapy for Bronchiectasis Complicated with Infection in Senile Patients
Abstract: Objective: To observe the clinical effect of modified Qianjin Weijing tang and Xiaoxianxiong tang combined with routine therapy for bronchiectasis complicated with infection in senile patients. Methods:A total of 84 cases of senile patients with bronchiectasis complicated with infection were selected and randomly divided into the control group and the experiment group, with 42 cases in each group. The control group was given routine western medicine treatment, and the experiment group was additionally treated with modified Qianjin Weijing tang and Xiaoxianxiong tang. Both groups were treated for two weeks. The levels of procalcitonin(PCT), C- reactive protein(CRP), CD4 + CD25 + regulatory T lymphocyte (Treg), interleukin- 2(IL- 2) and interleukin- 10(IL- 10) in peripheral blood before and after treatment as well as the clinical effects in the two groups were compared. Results: After treatment, the total clinical effective rate was 95.2% in the experiment group, higher than that of 81.0% in the control group(P<0.05). After treatment, Chinese medicine syndrome scores and the levels of PCT,CRP and IL-2 in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment (P<0.05),and the above indexes in the experiment group were significantly lower than those in the control group(P<0.05); the levels of Treg and IL- 10 in the two groups were increased when compared with those before treatment(P<0.05),and the levels of Treg and IL- 10 in the experiment group were significantly higher than those in the control group(P<0.05). Conclusion: The therapy of modified Qianjin Weijing tang and Xiaoxianxiong tang combined with routine therapy for bronchiectasis complicated with infection in senile patients has a good synergistic effect, and can significantly improve their symptoms, inhibit inflammatory responses in vivo, enhance immunoregulatory function and promote the recovery of immune homeostasis balance.
