Abstract: Objective: To observe the clinical effect of fire needling combined with sliding- cupping therapy for primary cutaneous amyloidosis. Methods:A total of 43 cases of patients with primary cutaneous amyloidosis were randomly divided into the treatment group and the control group, with 23 and 20 cases in each group respectively. Both groups were given oral administration of loratadine tablets, the control group was additionally given external application with halometasone ointment, and the treatment group was additionally treated with needling combined with sliding- cupping therapy. Both groups were treated for four weeks. Before and after treatment, the changes in scores of pruritus and hypertrophic skin lesions in the two groups were observed. The clinical effects, adverse reactions and recurrences in the two groups were counted. Results: The total effective rate was 95.65% in the treatment group and 65.00% in the control group, the difference being significant(P<0.05). Before treatment, there was no significant difference being found in the comparison of scores of pruritus and hypertrophic skin lesions between the two groups(P>0.05). After treatment, the scores of pruritus and hypertrophic skin lesions in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment(P<0.05),and the two scores in the treatment group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05). After three-month follow-up,there was no recurrent case in the treatment group, and the recurrence rate was 38.5% in the control group, the difference being significant(P<0.05). The adverse reaction rate was 8.70% in the treatment group and 5.00% in the control group, there being no significance in the difference(P>0.05). Conclusion:The application of fire needling combined with sliding-cupping therapy has a definite clinical effect in treating primary cutaneous amyloidosis with low recurrence rate and good safety, whose midlong term clinical effect is better than that of simple halometasone.
