Abstract:Objective:To observe the clinical effect of Zaoren Anshen granules combined with eszopiclone for insomnia of yin deficiency with effulgent fire type. Methods:A total of 102 cases of patients with insomnia of yin deficiency with effulgent fire type were selected and divided into the observation group and the control group according to different treatment methods, with 51 cases in each group. The control group was treated with eszopiclone, and the observation group was additionally treated with Zaoren Anshen granules based on the treatment of the control group. Both groups were treated for four weeks. The clinical effects and incidences of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Scores of Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index(PSQI),the time to fall asleep,the times of wake after sleep onset and sleep latency were compared between the two groups before and after treatment. Results:The total effective rate was 96.1% in the observation group,higher than that of 84.3% in the control group(P<0.05). After treatment,scores of daytime function,the time to fall asleep, sleep disorder, sleep efficiency and sleep duration as well as the total scores in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment(P<0.05),and the above scores in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05). After treatment, sleep duration in the two groups was prolonged when compared with that before treatment(P<0.05),the times of wake after sleep onset were decreased(P<0.05),and sleep latency was shortened (P<0.05). After treatment,sleep duration in the observation group was longer than that in the control group(P<0.05),the times of wake after sleep onset was fewer(P<0.05), and sleep latency was shorter(P<0.05). The incidence of adverse reactions was 3.9% in the observation group,lower than that of 19.6% in the control group(P<0.05). Conclusion:Zaoren Anshen granules combined with eszopiclone has a better clinical effect than the simple use of eszopiclone in the treatment of insomnia of yin deficiency with effulgent fire type. It can effectively improve sleep quality with high safety.
