Abstract： Objective： To observe the clinical effect of the therapy of moxibustion method of fortifying the spleen and supplement the kidney combined with thread embedment in points on patients with premature ovarian failure(POF) of spleen- kidney yang deficiency type and its influence on sex hormones and anti-Mullerian hormone(AMH). Methods ： A total of 60 POF patients of spleen-kidney yang deficiency type were selected and divided into the observation group and the control group according to random number table method，with 30 cases in each group. The observation group was treated with the therapy of moxibustion method of fortifying the spleen and supplement the kidney combined with thread embedment in points， while the control group was simply treated with thread embedment in points. The clinical effects and the levels of follicle- stimulating hormone(FSH)， testosterone(T)， estrogen(E2)， luteinizing hormone(LH) and AMH before and after treatment were compared between the two groups. Results：The total effective rate was 96.67% in the observation group， higher than that of 76.67% in the control group(P＜0.05). After treatment，when compared with those before treatment，the levels of FSH and LH in both groups were decreased(P＜0.05)，and the levels of E2，T and AMH were increased(P＜0.05). When compared with those in the control group after treatment， the levels of FSH and LH in the observation group after treatment were lower(P＜0.05)， while the levels of E2， T and AMH were higher(P＜0.05). Conclusion： The therapy of moxibustion method of fortifying the spleen and supplement the kidney combined with thread embedment in points has significant clinical effect on the treatment of POF of spleen-kidney yang deficiency type，which can effectively improve the levels of sex hormones and AMH.
