Clinical Study on Warming- Needle Moxibustion Combined with Huazheng Zhitong Tang for Primary Dysmenorrhea of Cold-Dampness Congealing and Stagnation Type
Abstract: Objective: To observe the clinical effect of warming- needle moxibustion combined with Huazheng Zhitong tang for primary dysmenorrhea of cold-dampness congealing and stagnation type. Methods:A total of 80 cases of patients with primary dysmenorrhea of cold- dampness congealing and stagnation type were selected as the research objects and divided into the study group and the control group according to the random number table method, with 40 cases in each group. The control group was treated with Huazheng Zhitong tang, and the study group was additionally treated with warming- needle moxibustion based on the treatment of the control group. Clinical effects, Visual Analogue Scale(VAS) scores, duration of dysmenorrhea, uterine arterial hemodynamic indexes and incidences of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results: The total effective rate was 97.5% in the study group, higher than that of 70.0% in the control group, the difference being significant(P<0.05). After treatment, VAS scores and duration of dysmenorrhea in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment;VAS score and duration of dysmenorrhea in the study group were lower than those in the control group, differences being significant(P<0.05). After treatment, arterial pulsatility indexes(API),resistance indexes(RI) and systolic peak value/diastolic peak value(S/D) in uterus in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment;API,RI and S/D in uterus in the study group were lower than those in the control group, the difference being significant(P<0.05). Conclusion:The therapy of warmingneedle moxibustion combined with Huazheng Zhitong tang has a significant curative effect in treating primary dysmenorrhea, which can effectively improve the symptoms of dysmenorrhea and reduce the levels of uterine arterial hemodynamic indexes.
