Abstract： Objective： To observe the clinical effect of the therapy of Chinese herbal external washing combined with Xiao'er Resuqing oral solution on the treatment of infantile influenza A. Methods：A total of 96 children with influenza A were selected and divided into the observation group and the control group by random number table method，with 48 cases in each group. The control group was treated with oseltamivir phosphate granules，and the observation group was additionally treated with Chinese herbal external washing combined with Xiao'er Resuqing oral solution based on the treatment of the control group. The clinical effect，symptom improvement time and levels of serum C-reactive protein(CRP) and interferon -γ(IFN-γ) were compared between the two groups. Results：The total effective rate was 95.83% in the observation group，higher than that of 81.25% in the control group， the difference being significant(P＜0.05). The recovery time of mental state， body temperature and accompanying symptoms in the observation group was shorter than that in the control group(P＜0.05). Before treatment，there was no significant difference in levels of serum CRP and IFN- γ between the two groups(P＞0.05). After treatment， the levels of serum CRP and IFN- γ in both groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment，and the two levels in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P＜0.05). Conclusion：The therapy of Chinese herbal external washing combined with Xiao'er Resuqing oral solution has a significant effect on the treatment of infantile influenza A， which can reduce the levels of serum inflammatory factors and shorten the course of disease.
