Abstract:Objective:To observe the effect of Yiqi Qingre Jiedu tang on serum amyloid protein(SAA),C-reactive protein (CRP) and peripheral white blood cell counts(WBC) in children with acute infectious diarrhea. Methods:A total of 210 cases of children with acute infectious diarrhea were divided into the study group and the control group according to the random number table method, with 105 cases in each group. Both groups were given the same basic treatment;the control group was additionally treated with ceftazidime, and the study group was additionally treated with Yiqi Qingre Jiedu tang based on the treatment of the control group. The levels of serum SAA,peripheral WBC and CRP before and after treatment as well as the total effective rates and the improvement time of clinical symptoms in the two groups were compared. Results: After treatment, the total effective rate was 91.4% in the study group, higher than that of 70.5% in the control group(P<0.05). The disappearance time of dehydration and abdominal pain, antidiarrheal time and antipyretic time in the study group were shorter than those in the control group(P<0.05). After treatment, the levels of SAA and CRP in serum and peripheral WBC in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment(P<0.05);the levels of SAA and CRP in serum and peripheral WBC in the study group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05). Conclusion:The therapy of Yiqi Qingre Jiedu tang combined with ceftazidime for children with acute infectious diarrhea has a significant effect, which can significantly shorten the disappearance time of clinical symptoms, and regulate the levels of SAA and CRP in serum and peripheral WBC.
