Abstract：Objective：To observe the effect of modified Qingzhong tang combined with sodium cromoglicate on levels of eosinophil cationic protein(ECP) and thymic stromal lymphopoietin(TSLP) in children with anaphylactic conjunctivitis. Methods： A total of 104 cases of children with anaphylactic conjunctivitis were selected and divided into the control group and the combination group according to different treatment methods， with 52 cases in each group. The control group was treated with sodium cromoglicate， and the combination group was treated with modified Qingzhong tang combined with sodium cromoglicate. Both groups were treated for two weeks. Changes in tears and levels of ECP and TSLP in serum before and after treatment were compared between the two groups. Changes in clinical symptoms and signs before and after treatment were compared between the two groups. The clinical effects and the incidence of complications after treatment in the two groups were observed. Results： After treatment， tears and levels of ECP and TSLP in serum in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment(P＜0.05)，and the above levels in the combination group were lower than those in the control group， differences being significant(P＜0.05). After treatment， scores of clinical symptoms and signs including itchy eyes，conjunctival congestion，foreign body sensation in eyes and photophobia in the two groups were lower those before treatment(P＜0.05)，and the above scores in the combination group were lower than those in the control group，differences being significant(P＜0.05). Before treatment，the total effective rate of clinical effect was 94.23% in the combination group and 69.23% in the control group，the difference being significant(P＜0.05). After treatment，the incidence of adverse reactions was 3.85% in the combination group and 23.08% in the control group，the difference being significant (P＜0.05). Conclusion： Modified Qingzhong tang combined with sodium cromoglicate for children with anaphylactic conjunctivitis can relieve clinical symptoms， reduce inflammatory degree， and shorten the disappearance time of clinical symptoms，with relatively high safety.
