Clinical Study on Chinese Medicine Aromatic Cold Therapy Combined with Routine Swallowing Rehabilitation Training for Dysphagia After Cerebral Apoplexy
Abstract:Objective:To observe the curative effect of Chinese medicine aromatic cold therapy combined with routine swallowing rehabilitation training for dysphagia after cerebral apoplexy. Methods:A total of 60 cases of hospitalized patients with ischemic stroke(ICS) complicated with dysphagia diagnosed by imaging examination were randomly divided into the observation group and the control group, with 30 cases in each group. Both groups were given routine treatment including blood pressure stabilization, blood glucose reduction and lipid regulation,anti-platelet aggregation and neuro nutrition. The control group was given swallowing function training, and the observation group was additionally given Chinese medicine aromatic cold therapy based on the treatment of the control group. Both groups were treated for four weeks. The scores of Kubota Drinking Water Test(KDWT),Swallowing-Quality of Life Scale(SWAL-QOL) as well as the curative effects in the two groups were compared. Results:The total effective rate was 93.33% in the observation group, higher than that of 70.00% in the control group, the difference being significant(P<0.05). Before treatment, there was no significant difference being found in the comparison of KDWT scores between the two groups(P>0.05); after treatment, KDWT scores in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment(P<0.05),and the score in the observation group was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05). Before treatment, there was no significant difference being found in the comparison of SWAL- QOL scores between the two groups(P>0.05); after treatment, SWAL- QOL scores in the two groups were increased when compared with those before treatment(P<0.05);the score in the observation group was higher than that in the control group(P<0.05). Conclusion: Chinese medicine aromatic cold therapy combined with routine swallowing rehabilitation training for dysphagia has a significant curative effect in the treatment of ICS complicated with dysphagia, which can promote the recovery of swallowing function and improve the quality of life of patients.
